Fujimoto Mokkou

Within the tradition of the master cabinetmaker and

a history spanning 130years,

Fujimoto Mokkou is active in a wide range of

projects in the Kansairegion of Japan.

Recent commissions include interiors for

the following:Hogaraka Enn Nursing Home

(50,000 sq. meters, Nakakita Associates),

OkumaRehabilitation Center and Lodging Home for

Young Adults with MultipleDisabilities

(38,000 sq. meters, Nakakita Associates),

Imabayasi no Sato Day Care Center

(Asahigaoka Gakuenn sq. meters, Shihara Studio),

and Happy Yellow House Suita.barrier free residence

(73 sq.meters, Isoda Studio).

Numerous commercial cabinetry and custom furniture

projects are also completed on a regular basis,

a detailed portfolio is available upon request.

 

Fujimoto Mokkou, in partnership with Perry Design, has been instrumental in

the introduction of natural finish products to Kansai: milk paint, various

waxes and mixed oil. This partnership also imports on a regular basis

formaldehyde free plywood and panel products from America and Europe.

 

Finally, Fujimotto Mokkou sponsers a monthly salon, Kiboujuku:

Artisans/Designers Exchange. Topics touch upon issues of common concern

between these two groups so as to expand the working knowledge of all

involved in the design and construction process.
